The hotel has a convenient location close to downtown but had some noise disturbances late at night. The rooms needed attention with dead insects and cleanliness issues, but the customer service was commendable. The dining options were limited, and the facilities were average.

My room had dead insects in the beds and along the walls, and it wasn't very clean. Minor things like peeling wallpaper and a malfunctioning TV remote needed attention. Sleeping under the bed was not an option, so I ended up sleeping in my car.

The hotel had a roach crawling on the wall; however, it was very clean when plugged light it. The staff is one of the nicest person I've ever met, despite not being at the front desk when I showed up and having to knock on the counter. The location needs repaving and was a little creepy, surrounded with sketchy people. Close to UAB hospital, although it has a by the hour crack motel atmosphere, in a hurry trying to escape hurricane Michael by loud traffic noises. The dining options around 8 consist of stale cereal and sour milk, similar to what you would see at most inexpensive hotels.
